Edourd von Shaek
Made in Japan S/N 500409
Very Rare guitar - made for only one year (1987) at the Fender factory in Japan. The guitar features a Solid Spruce Top and gorgeous, solid rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and rosewood head stock overlay. Mother of Pearl “snowflake” finger board inlays. Neck is strong and straight.
Added brand new medium gauge D’Addario Phosphor Bronze EJ39 strings
Nut Width: 1.92"
The craftsmanship on this guitar is superb giving a deep, rich, full-bodied tone - Woodsy yet still bright.
It's fully bound; top (herringbone) back (WBW), herringbone strip down the center back, original nut, ebony bridge, and high end looking 3-ring stripe/herringbone rosette, nice quality label, and original set of sealed die cast gold tuners (the tuners do show some aging in the finish but otherwise smooth to operate)
Condition is excellent - a slight amount of scuffing on the back side finish as one would expect from a 40 year old guitar. There are a couple small dings but nothing major. There is a very very fine crack in the finish on the bottom side but does not appear to be into the wood - see pic.
SKB Orange, CA USA Hard Case is included.
